Settlements: Dafnoula, Tzapada, Trapezaki

Distrato is located at an altitude of 450m, 43 km from the city of Arta. Driving from Arta you travel along the length of the route with the artificial lake Pournari. The village is crossed by the Arachthos river. There are three points in village  you can  access the artificial lake from:Ag.Athanasios, Dafnoula and  Trapezaki. Some interesting sights to visit are  the rural museum of Ag. Athanasios Perama with tools from the agricultural and livestock production, the Tzamakeios Library in the main square of Distrato, the primary school in Ag. Faneromeni, where the 1st  Conference of the Greek Resistance against the Germans in the region of Epirus took place, the traditional cafe in the central square of Distrato. There are also many churches  such as those of Prophetis Elias at the highest point of the village( 500 m), the church  of the Virgin Mary (Dafnoula), the church of Evangelistria,the church of Agios Georgios,the church of Ag.Triada in the central square of Distrato, the church of Ag .Faneromeni in the settlement of Trapezaki , the church of Ag.Athanasios in Perama .There are also some traditional festivities that are organized annually such those of Ag.Athanasios(Perama) on 1st May,the Holy day of Pentecost which is celebrated on the seventh Sunday of Easter in Ag.Triada church,the Dormition of The Virgin Mary festivity celebrated on 15th August in the church of Koimisis (Dafnoula),the festivities of Kouloura on the 17th August in the central square.
