The village of Ano Graikiko is built on the eastern slopes of Tzoumerka, on the hill of Tzouma at an altitude of 650 meters. It is a small ,though, beautiful village of in a unique natural environment. One side offers a beautiful view to the large mountains and the other to the vast forests.
Very picturesque with stone roof-topped houses, narrow streets and a paved square, a meeting point for the locals, wherever you stand, stone benches and stone-built fountains with gurgling water running from the village’s springs reveal themselves. The village and the surrounding area are a favorite destination for those who love hiking .
Things of interest: Inside the village there is the Church of the Entrance of Virgin Mary into the Temple. In the wider area and the surrounding villages you will find the water mill of Gouriana and the Monastery of Chrysospiiotissa. In the village you will find fine meat, plenty of tsipouro and wine, local cheese and honey.The Folklore Museum by F. Hachoulis is also worth a visit.
