It is located in an imposing yet evocative location in the location of Giuma near the village of Gouriana of Tzoumerka. it is a member of the Theotokion monastery and is commemorated in memory of the Nativity of the Virgin. It was named so because, according to tradition, a golden icon of the Virgin Mary was found in a cave that exists in the vicinity of the church, which unfortunately is not preserved today. Another tradition says that in the caves around the monument, there was a hidden School by the monks throughout the Turkish occupation. The current church was the Catholic Monastery of Men, which was dissolved – many years ago.
